Partners & Sponsors

Thank you to our community partners and sponsors. Your help makes Green Florida and our member gardens flourish!

The American Community Gardening Association is an important resource for community gardens throughout the United States.  Their annual conference and website provide valuable information and contacts for organizers of community gardens both brand new and long-established.

The Bartlett Park Neighborhood Association voted in 2008 to support the Bartlett Park Community Garden as a positive project in the community.  The association's members have been involved in the planning of the garden from the earliest planning stages and are some of the garden's most active volunteers.

Earnest Realty, a leading real estate agency in St Petersburg has contributed long hours and in-kind assistance to Green Florida towards the goal, achieved in 2013, of becoming the owners of the land for the Bartlett Park Community Garden.

The Florida Native Plant Society promotes the preservation, conservation and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida.

Green Florida is proud to be a member of the Land Trust Alliance.  The Land Trust Alliance makes key resources available to local partners working to protect open and environmental lands around the United States.

Mister Landscaper is a locally-owned landscaping equipment company which has provided the Bartlett Park Community Garden with drip irrigation equipment free of charge.  The drip irrigation system we have been able to build with their help is the focus of an educational grant from the Southwest Florida Water Management District.

Southwest Florida Water Management District has awarded Green Florida funding to do public education in the community about the benefits of drip irrigation.  Our educational sign at the garden is possible thanks to their support.

Neighborhood Home Solutions (St Pete NHS) is a non-profit organization based in Bartlett Park that has worked to promote home ownership and civic participation in St Petersburg for over 10 years.  St Pete NHS has supported the Bartlett Park Community Garden since its founding.  In 2013, NHS gave a vacant parcel of land to Green Florida for expanding the Bartlett Park Community Garden.  In conjunction with the MLK Day of Service project for 2014, we are installing coops for more than 2 dozen chickens on this new property so that fresh eggs can be part of the food we make available to our community.

We are proud to be a part of fulfilling the Saturday Morning Market's vision of providing gardens for growing food, kitchens for preparing foods, and markets for selling foods - locally.

St Petersburg Saturday Morning Market sponsors the Bartlett Park Community Garden by providing a regular booth space for the garden on Saturday mornings.  Look for us at the Market to learn about the garden and find a way to get involved.

Sweetwater Farm has been providing organic food to Tampa Bay residents for more than 20 years through their community supported agriculture (CSA) farm in which members pay up front for a share of weekly produce.

Sweetwater is helping Green Florida on soil, water and compost issues, as well as offering to contribute  hundreds of organic vegetable seedlings to the Bartlett Park Community Garden.
